He is a precious baby boy!
3. Formula or Breast fed?
Breastfed, though we had a problem with thrush which resulted in some formula supplementing (I did not want to use ALL of the stored breastmilk), now we are eliminating the formula.
4. If formula fed, how often does your baby eat and how many ounces? Do you do cereal or baby food?
He has has a bit of cereal and baby food, but he does not really care for it yet. He does like to chew on things that I put in his mesh feeder- fresh fruits and vegetables, meat (before I add any spices and seasonings)… he chewed on a fry the other day and was very curious about that.
5. How does your baby fall asleep? etc… rock to sleep, nurse to sleep, or you lay them down and they fall asleep
Some of each- depends on the time of day and his mood.
6. Do you swaddle or use a pacifer?
He does NOT like to be swaddles- none of my babies have. He does use a dummy every now and then. It is more a toy than a pacifier though.
7. How many naps does your baby take a day, and how long?
Usually, a morning nap and an afternoon nap. 1-2 hours each. It varies, though. He always falls asleep in the vehicle.
8. What times does your baby go to bed at night and how long does he/she stay asleep?
He goes to bed at 11 p.m. and wakes at 5 a.m., and will usually go back to sleep around 6 a.m. (after nursing and being changed) for an hour or two.
9. If he/she wakes up in the middle of the night is it to feed or something else?
Most of the time, he is just uncomfortable. Every now and then he will want to nurse. He sleeps through the night most of the time now.
10. What is your childs favorite toy? or piece of equipment?
He has an apple toy I bought at Kohl's- it is red flexible teething rings that form the shape of an apple. There is a "worm" wrapped around the core that you can see. The worm is brightly colored. There are silky leaves on the stem that crinkle when you touch them, and it jingles when you shake it. It is easy for him to hold and mouth.
11. Can your baby roll? sit up? or crawl?
He rolls, front to back and back to front, all over the place. He sits up for a minute or so unassisted, but he wants to be mobile and as soon as he tries to move, he tumbles over. He can get up on his hands and knees and rock, but he does not crawl yet.
12. What makes your baby laugh or smile?
ANYTHING- he is a happy boy. Just walking into his sight makes him smile. If you talk to him, he smiles. He likes peek a boo and "Mr. Pinchers" (thumb and index finger that tickles).
13. What are you getting your babe for Christmas?!
Clothes, a few small toys. I saw something in a Toys R Us catalog that I am going to get him- it is shaped like a grocery cart (but solid). They can use it as a walker to help them balance as they take steps holding onto it, and the sides, front and top all have various activities (like a bead maze). I also saw a twin size monkey blanket in a catalog that I am going to get him. It fits on a twin bed, but we will use it as a floor mat for now. The corners are "feet" and there is a monkey head pillow. I call him my little monkey.
