Don’t Suffer with Back Pain Any Longer

Have you ever moved house or helped someone else move house? It is the sort of job where, unless you are a professional moving man, the chances are that you woke up the next day with back ache took some pills and went on with your day as best as you can.

If you have back pains and are just constantly self medicating with over the counter pain killers you are not fixing the problem, you are just stopping or more likely reducing the pain. This may seem like the answer right now, but long term it is not a solution for what can be a debilitating medical condition.

How long have you had back pain? If you have only had it a couple of days and know what the cause is, maybe you moved a heavy piece of furniture or played a far to vigorous game of tennis, then the chances are you can have a hot bath take some pain killers and go to bed. When you wake up in the morning you should feel the muscles in your back reacting with less pain.

Being in pain for any amount of time takes a physical and mental toll on people, it not only affects you but your family and work colleagues. You will become bad tempered, the pills may well affect your diet and even your bowel movements.

Facing up to the reality that your pain is not a temporary passing phase is an important thing. Once you accept that the pain won’t go just because you pop a few more pills before bed you are ready to start changing your lifestyle so you can fix whatever is causing the pain.

Back aches are often caused by environmental issues, maybe your office chair is set at the wrong height, maybe you slouch when you sit at your desk. Consider your own lifestyle and see if you can make long term changes that will help alleviate your back pain.
