How Can I Fall Asleep Faster?

it takes me about an hour to fall asleep once i get to bed.
i want to go to sleep, but my body wont. im always tired at school because of this.

what can i do to make myself fall asleep faster?
(sleeping pills are not an option)

Suggestion:

I used to have the same problem as you too. First off prepare to sleep an hour earlier than you would. Have your backpack prepared and all that. Second make sure EVERYTHING is off, like your TV, lights,and if you use your phone as an alarm or something, turn it around so it doesn't distract you. Wear comfortable pajamas, and if you're a girl tie your hair up so your not distracted. Also sometimes putting on lotion calms you down. And if you like milk, you should drink some, it not only makes you more tired but it makes you feel full so you don't get hungry. Finally turn off your lights close your eyes and start sleeping.:)

Don't drink anything with caffeine after about 3. Don't have a large meal within 2-3 hours of trying to go to sleep, don't do anything too active before you try to go to sleep. Lastly after waiting for about 15 minutes without sleep, get up and do something, something simple, like reading or drawing. Try this for about ten minutes and then try to go to bed again.

by avoiding drinking coffee, and coca cola
by not eating after 9 pm
by turning off the tv in ur bedroom
by putting on some soft music(waves etc)
by eating healthier.
by drinking tea( decaffinated) as u lay down on ur bed
by reading a book. :)
