How Do I Sleep Better and Faster?

I've been having troubles sleeping lately. (Too much studying!) I fall asleep at like 2am! Do any of you know any tricks to help you sleep faster or better. (no medicine) And if you can could you tell me if you've tried it and if it worked for you?

Suggestion:

Hi Jaime,

I used this mp3 and it works great. See link below. Sleep.

measure the amount of sleep you need and adjust it for night by night, warm drinks like warm milk may help, or do the opposite and pull an all nighter past 2 am, use coffee to kick into the next day then go to bed at the hour of your choosing.

oh, i almost forgot about the sleeping better part… if you're having discomfort sleeping then try changing your pillow, or bed if you can afford that.. but mainly your pillow.

i recommend switching to a buckwheat or airbead pillow, they stay cool at all times and conform to your head for more comfort.

Hey,

I had trouble sleeping for ages, it started in university when I was studying and staying up late – also partying! Then I started working full time but just couldn't switch off and kept falling asleep at different times. I went to the doctor for pills at first but the problem came back worse after so I tried natural methods from this guy I found on the net. He has a book and info on his site about sleep. check it our http://www.goodsleephygiene.com I have slept so much better since I started following the steps in the book, it's like a course of good natural sleep with lots of practical methods to readjust the body…natural is always best in my opinion. Don't take pills whatever you do!

Good luck

These have all worked for me.

-excersise during the day
-no foods or drinks besides water before bed
-get used to waking up early (if you wake up early, then you'll be so tired at night you'll fall asleep faster and better)
-remove lights and sounds (get a large fan to cover the sounds if you are desperate)
-open a window
-fluff your pillow, change your sheets and flip your mattress
-don't study or do homework on your bed
