These dreams happen when you are in the middle of a regular dream. And suddenly it hits you, you realize that you’re asleep and must be dreaming. Amazing isn’t? Want to try it and see what happen next? Here are a few tips that you can put on practice! Try Mnemonic Induction of Lucid Dreaming (MILD) technique by Stephen Laberge.
1. Set your alarm clock to wake you up 4 1/2, 6, or 7 1/2 hours after falling asleep.
2. When you’re finding yourself awakened by your alarm clock, first thing to do is trying to remember the dream as much as possible.
3. When you think you have remembered as much as you can, back to your bed! Then imagining that you’re in your previous dream, and becoming aware that you are dreaming. Tell these words “I will be aware that I’m dreaming,” or something alike to you over and over again. Repeat it until you think that it has “deep and sunk in.” Then hit to sleep.
4. You’ll get random thoughts pop up when you are trying to fall asleep! That’s Okay, just repeat the imagining, self-suggestion part, and try again. This process is taking you a long time? Relax, don’t you worry! You see, the longer it takes, and the more possible it will ‘sink in’! And you’ll get better chance to have a lucid dream.
Well, after you try Stephen Laberge’s MILD technique; don’t forget to write the whole things down in a journal. Yeah, that’s right! Make your own a dream journal. Sounds ridiculous? No, it doesn’t! In fact, keep a dream journal is perhaps the most important step towards lucid dreaming. This helps you know your frequent dream elements. Yup, elements like people from your past or specific places, etc. It will tell your mind that you’re in dead serious on remembering your dreams!
